Once you've booked a MagicAL show, here's what you'll need to know to assure an outstanding party experience:
The MagicAL Show normally starts with a fun “warm-up” to set the stage for the performance, including an interactive comedy routine designed to get the kids laughing and paying attention to his voice and commentary. The honored guest and several attendees get involved in performing a variety of magic effects; some dressing up in various hats and/or costumes to perform various “magical assistant” tasks or deliver their lines as guest stars in the “I Believe in Magic” skit. Comedy is the cornerstone of the show and you’ll find the audience laughing and enjoying themselves. The emphasis is definitely on entertainment!
The finale of the MagicAL show will vary based on any party options you might choose to include in your show. If you selected the Bunny Rabbit Appearance, the Goldfish Production, the MagicAL Flying Carpet Levitation, or Teach-A-Trick option, the honored guest will assist in making the magic happen to conclude your show. If no option has been selected, MagicAL will close the show with a comedy magical effect and special wishes for the honored guest. At the conclusion of the show, all kids in attendance will be presented with a Secrets of Magic and Magic Coloring Book (unless otherwise specified). (Up to 15 books included. Additional charge for extra books.)
If you would like to provide a MagicAL parting gift to the honoree or attendees, please visit the MagicAL Goodies page for some great MagicAL ideas. Please provide at least 5 days advance notice if you’d like MagicAL to bring along any extra goodies for your honored guest or party attendees.
To insure an enjoyable event for all in attendance:
MagicALneeds a performing space of at least 4’ deep X 6’ wide with space for the kids to sit (typically on the floor) in a semi-circle in front of him. Typically the adults will sit in the back on chairs unless their child needs them to sit on the floor with them for “security” issues. A family room or living room is usually a good place to enjoy the entertainment.
MagicAL needs access to an electrical outlet as he may need to plug in a small CD player.
Please do not allow the kids to have snacks or beverages during the MagicAL performance. They will be squirming around, laughing, having a great deal of fun and the floors (and other guests) are quickly and easily stained unless we keep the snacks and refreshments until after the performance.
Please keep televisions and radios off and ask the adults to keep conversation to a minimum during the performance so as not to distract the kid’s attention from the show.
MagicAL will arrive between 10 and 20 minutes prior to the scheduled show start time to get things set up for the performance. If at all possible, please arrange to have the youngsters in another area during the set up to maintain the secrets and fun of the magic show.
Please make sure all attendees are present and ready to enjoy the show promptly at the agreed upon show starting time. MagicALwill likely have another show after yours and to make it on time for the next party, he won’t be able to delay or stretch his time frame at your home.
Payment Terms: Unless otherwise specified, a deposit equal to 50% of the show fee is due upon booking to confirm your event. Deposit may be made by cash, personal or company check or money order. Please refer to your preliminary confirmation e-mail for mailing address to mail your deposit. Remaining balance is due immediately at the conclusion of your event in either cash, personal or company check.
Credit Card Option: If you’d like to pay for your party experience by credit card, full payment is required in advance via PayPal only and can be sent to the e-mail address indicated in your confirmation e-mail. A $10 convenience charge will be added to all PayPal transactions.
Gratuities: Gratuities for an exceptional party experience are appreciated but not required. MagicAL appreciates your consideration.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your event for any reason, there will be no charge if cancellation is made and confirmed at least 14 days prior to the scheduled event. For cancellations between 3 and 14 days prior to the scheduled event, 50% of the fee will be due as a cancellation charge. If cancellation occurs with less than 72 hours notice, the full fee will be payable (emergency circumstances notwithstanding)
Photos: A photographer may accompany MagicAL to take photographs and/or video tape for show evaluation, marketing and promotional purposes. If he uses any photographs or video from the performance, no names or other personally identifying information will be included without the youngster’s parents written permission.
Families are welcome to take photographs and/or video tape the performance for personal use only. No commercial use of show images is allowed.
